President: Nicole Savitski
Nicole has been involved with SLYC since 2014 with her 3 daughters Kayleigh (Senior), Ashley (Freshman), and Courtney (7th grade). During this time she has been Vice President, Secretary, Coach Coordinator and currently entering her second season as President. Nicole coached her daughters' team in 2019 to become OCYCA Champions! You will always see her on the sidelines and at the competitions cheering on every girl in this program! Seeing all the girls having fun makes all the hard work worth it!!
Vice President: Bethany DeBruyn
Bethany is a mom of two girls. She has been a part of SLYC since 2021, when her oldest started as a 2nd grade Mite. Volunteering with the program kind of fell into her lap. Having stepped into roles such as; Team Mom, Cheerful Rep, Coach Coordinator, and now Vice President. She is also in her second year as an OCYCA Director. The love her girls have for this sport, drives Bethany's spirit for this program and strives to make each year better for every cheerleader.
Coach & Safety Coordinators: Danielle Miller & Melissa Johnson
Melissa has been volunteering with SLYC since 2018; first as an assistant coach with Mites for two seasons and eventually as Vice President, Cheerful Rep and this is her 2nd season as a Coach Coordinator. Melissa is also in her 4th season as an OCYCA Director. Melissa's daughter, Amelia, cheered with the program from 2017-2023 and became a junior coach for the Peewees team in 2024, she also plans to return in the 2025 season.
Danielle became a member of the SLYC community in 2022 when her daughter, Penelope, cheered as a Mite. She was a Mites Coach in 2023, Vice President in 2024, and Coach & Safety Coordinator in 2025. With a strong background in cheer, dance, and fitness, Danielle is passionate about supporting both the coaching staff and athletes to ensure a safe and enjoyable season for all!
Treasurer: Alyssa Krzyzewski
Alyssa has been with SLYC since 2022. Her oldest daughter, Elizabeth, started cheering as a 3rd grade Mite and will now be going into her 6th grade season on Peewees. This is Alyssa's third year volunteering with the program. Having previously served in the roles of Secretary, Apparel Rep, and Team Mom, she will put her accounting background to use this year in the Treasurer role. Alyssa is excited for another season cheering on our amazing teams!
Secretary: Marissa Mooney
Marissa has been volunteering with SLYC since 2024. Her two daughters will be Mighty Mites in the 2025 season! Marissa grew up cheering and coaching cheerleading. She looks forward to volunteering as Secretary and coaching this season.
Apparel Rep: Marissa Sweeney
Marissa is a mom of three, two girls and a boy. The 2025 season will be her 8th year as an SLYC mom. Her older daughter, Abby, was an SLYC Cheerleader from 2018-2021. Her younger daughter, Lilly, will return for her 4th season and will be a PeeWee for 2025. Marissa has volunteered with Silver Lake Cheer previously as Team Mom. This will be her first year as a board member. Marissa has a passion for creating fun designs for clothing and is excited to add some new SLYC swag options.
Fundraising Coordinators: Lynne Esposito & Amanda Gravlin
Lynne has been an active member of SLYC since 2022. This is her first year on the Board, serving as Fundraising Coordinator. It will also be her third year coaching. Lynne’s younger daughter, Tessa, will be a Mite, and her oldest daughter, Sofia, will be a Peewee. Coaching is special to me because I see how important cheer is to my daughters, and I treasure the chance to build strong bonds with all of the girls I coach. Having cheered throughout my own youth and high school years, it’s rewarding to give back to the sport that has meant so much to me.
Amanda has been an active member of SLYC since 2023 when her daughter, Charlotte, joined Mighty Mites 1. From the start, Amanda embraced her role as a team mom, passionately supporting both the team and the families of SLYC. In 2025, Amanda took her commitment to the next level by partnering with her coaching partner, Lynne, to create fundraising opportunities aimed at expanding the cheer community. With enthusiasm and dedication, Amanda looks forward to a fantastic year ahead, excited to help SLYC grow and thrive.
